Ilaria Rebay, Ph.D.

Available Positions

Research Technician position available. Looking for a recent college graduate with undergraduate research experience in biology and/or chemistry who is interested in working as a technician for a couple of years prior to continuing on to graduate school. While responsibilities include general lab management (ordering supplies, maintaining stocks, general lab upkeep, etc), the primary expectation is an interest in participating in and learning to design and implement an independent research project. Technicians in the lab participate regularly in lab meetings and journal clubs, attend and present their work at departmental retreats, have had authorship (including first) on major publications and have continued on to top graduate programs including Berkeley, Columbia, Harvard, Northwestern, Stanford, U. of Chicago, and UCSF. Because of the time it takes to get an independent research project up to speed, a two year commitment is required. Please send a curriculum vitae and short letter describing your research experience and interests via email to:

A postdoctoral position is available in Ilaria Rebay's laboratory to study conserved mechanisms of signal transduction and gene regulation during animal development using Drosophila as a model system. Applicants should be recent Ph.D. graduates with a strong background in cell biology, biochemistry, genetics or molecular biology.
